Court stops AIT from broadcasting documentary against APC leader

A court in Lagos State has restrained Africa Independent Television (AIT) from airing a controversial documentary about the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.

“I hereby order an interlocutory injunction in this suit restraining the defendant from further airing, publishing or disseminating broadcasting the documentary ‘Lion of Bourdilion’ which it started broadcasting on March 1, pending the determination of the substantive suit,” the judge said.

Tinubu had taken the management of AIT to court saying that the documentary was damaging to his reputation.

AIT has also been indicted by the National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) for airing a similar documentary about President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari.
