15 Chadians were reportedly among the terrorists killed while two anti-Aircraft Guns were recovered from the enemy.
When queried about the attack, Defence spokesperson, Chris Olukolade told Vanguard:
“What is important now is for us to consolidate on the victory, recapture areas where the terrorists are presently operating and restore peace to the entire north east.”
Olukolade had earlier stated that “mopping-up operations” were going on in the area to rid it of terrorists.
