The black-and-whites have shown plenty of promise this season, but it was clear they were in desperate need of a sharpshooter. With the NBA roster cuts wrapped up, fans were eagerly anticipating news of a reinforcement—and it has officially arrived.
Reeves arrives in Belgrade as a proven scorer capable of creating his own shot, making a real impact from beyond the arc, and adding immense offensive versatility to coach Joan Peñarroya's system.
He began his basketball journey in Chicago at Simeon High School, where he established himself early on as a pure scorer.
He launched his collegiate career at Illinois State. Over three seasons, he made steady progress before a breakout 2021–22 campaign, averaging 20.1 points per game and earning the Missouri Valley Conference's Most Improved Player award.
Following those standout performances, he transferred to one of the most storied college basketball programs in the nation—Kentucky, playing under legendary head coach John Calipari, where he initially served as a pivotal spark off the bench.
In his final college season (2023–24), he emerged as the undisputed team leader, averaging 20.2 points per game while shooting an impressive 44.7 percent from three-point range. Surpassing 1,000 career points for Kentucky in just two seasons, he cemented his place in the prestigious program's history.
In the 2024 NBA Draft, Reeves was selected 47th overall in the second round by the Orlando Magic before being immediately traded to the New Orleans Pelicans.
Throughout the summer and early part of the season, he gained professional experience in the NBA Summer League and the NBA G League, featuring for the Iowa Wolves.
