BLAST to host first-ever FIFA 22 ePremier League
Virtual tournament organizers BLAST are set to host the 2021/22 season of EA Sports FIFA 22 ePremier League, a competition that sees all the 20 soccer clubs in the Premier League participate to win the grand prize of $100,000.
BLAST has been known for producing a tier-one CS: GO circuit plus running occasional events in several eSports such as Dota 2, VALORANT, Apex Legends, and Fortnite.
Now, BLAST is increasing its portfolio by entering the world of EA Sports FIFA 22 announcing its official Twitter page.
This edition of ePremier League will consist of a new online format co-created by BLAST and the grand finals have been scheduled to take place on a live event later in March 2022. Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X/S players of different levels of skill had earlier participated in the qualifiers between November and January.
In an official statement, BLAST's MD of development, Leo Mattlock said, ” We’re thrilled to team up with the world’s most renowned football league and help them create, develop and deliver this season’s ePremier League.
“We’re excited at the prospect of engaging with fans from all 20 clubs as they compete to represent their favourite team at the live grand finals.”
The tournament playoffs will run from February to March, and the grand finals will be played on March 26 and 27.
