Galmarini and Kummer - the Olympic champion in the parallel slalom, who had finished second in the individual race on Friday - dominated their half of the draw, beating compatriots Julie Zogg and Silvan Flepp along the way.

They also overcame challenges from Canadian and Austrian teams to book a semi-final spot, where they beat Austria's Claudia Riegler and Benjamin Karl.

Boldykova and Kolegov booked their place in the Big Final after wins over two Italian pairs and fellow Russians Natalia Soboleva and Andrey Sobolev.

The latter duo went on to claim third place with victory in the Small final, edging Riegler and Karl to secure a podium place.
