Nominees for the Coach of the Year award for the men and women categories were released by world governing body FIFA on Tuesday, July 24.
The last men and women award winners in 2017 were Zinédine Zidane and Sarina Wiegman.
Nominees for Men's Coach of the Year
Nominees for the FIFA Men’s Coach 2018 are Massimiliano Allegri, Stanislav Cherchesov, Zlatko Dalic, Didier Deschamps, Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp, Roberto Martinez, Diego Simeone, Gareth Southgate, Ernesto Valverde and Zinedine Zidane.
Zlatko Dalic was in charge of the Croatian team to the World Cup final, while Cherchesov took Russia to the quarterfinal of the tournament.
Southgate and Martinez both were in charge of World Cup semifinalists England and Belgium.
Guardiola, Simeone, Valverde and Allegri were all successful in charge of top European sides.
The coaches nominations were due to their achievements from July, 3 2017 till Sunday, July 15 2018.
Nominees for Women's Coach of the Year
Emma Hayes, Stephan Lerch, Mark Parsons, Reynald Pedros, Alen Stajcic, Asaka Takakura, Vadao, Jorge Vilda, Martina Voss-Tecklenburg
The coaches nominations were due to their achievements from August 7, 2017 till May 24 2018.
The award ceremony is scheduled to return to London on Monday, September, 24.
