Shehu reveals Sporting did not present a formal offer for player transfer

Nigerian midfielder Abdullahi Shehu has declared that his move to Kuwait was the best and right choice that could have followed the three horse race run round him by three clubs seeking his signature before he finally belted for Al Qadsia.

The 21 year-old ex-Kano Pillars player also blamed Sporting Lisbon for dilly-dallying in its speculated interest for the player, disclosing that the club did not make the necessary move for the unsuccessful transfer.
Shehu said.
On his debut, the Kuwait club lost 4-1 to Saudi Arabian club Al Ettifaq in a pre-season game.
