Negotiations advanced rapidly in recent hours, with the deal nearing completion. The €35 million transfer could see the Eagles receive more from a future sell-on clause.

Amar Dedic is set to join Newcastle United. Market specialist Fabrizio Romano reports a €35 million agreement, including a sell-on clause for a future transfer, and A BOLA confirms an understanding is in place, pending only the bureaucratic protocols for an official announcement. The Bosnian international is indeed headed for England.

Benfica and Newcastle accelerated negotiations for Dedic's transfer, and an official 'white smoke' announcement is now just a matter of time. As A BOLA reported just hours ago, the English club is expected to secure the 23-year-old right-back, in time for their Premier League opener against Liverpool at St. James' Park this coming weekend.

Benfica will release Dedic for €35 million – with only the exact percentage of a future sell-on clause yet to be clarified.

Dedic also fulfills his ambition of playing in the Premier League, reuniting with coach Matthias Jaissle, under whom he previously played at Salzburg.

The right-back, it's worth remembering, was signed by Benfica from Salzburg last summer for €10 million. He penned a contract until 2030, which included a €50 million release clause.

Dedic is not expected to be called up for Benfica's upcoming league match against Casa Pia in Rio Maior on Monday, which is the second fixture of the season.
