Despite losing their opening Group game of the UEFA Champions League, Manchester United midfielder, Bastian Schweinsteiger believes they can win it this season.
The German midfielder who won the competition with Bayern Munich in 2013 was speaking ahead of United’s Wednesday night’s Group B clash with Wolfsburg.
When asked if he believes they can win the UCL, Schweinsteiger said: “Yes, “I think so but also I think we have to do our work.”
The 31-year-old midfielder also urged Manchester United supporters to be their 12th man as they host Wolfsburg at Old Trafford.
“It’s not easy to play here,” he said about Old Trafford.
“Especially in the Champions League. The supporters, you can feel the power of them. It’s good for us but we have to play well.”
