Jos High Court Fails To Sit On July 11

The July 11 further hearing of the suit filed by the owner of Bayelsa United Mrs. Rumson Baribote against Aminu Magari led NFF board did not hold as was adjourned due to a strike action by state high courts in the country.

A Jos high court had passed an interlocutory injunction on Maigari’s NFF and adjourned till July 11 for further hearing; an action which prompted FIFA’s suspension on Nigeria until the court held back its ruling and Aminu Maigari reinstated into the NFF presidency.

Sources report that the embattled president Maigari with some members of the board were present at the court; also present were state members of the 44 NFF Congress.

After the court sacking and replacement of the Maigari board with an acting Secretary General, Lawrence Katken, an NFF congress passed a on the injunction passed by the Jos court.

After the suspension on Nigeria on July 9, FIFA gave July 15 as deadline to put the football house in order or face further sanctions.

An official present at the court said he hoped the court sits on Monday July 14, just to vacate the case.
