Barcelona sign youngster Pablo Torre on 4-year deal [Photos]

Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona have announced the signing of youngster Pablo Torre.

The 19-year-old was confirmed as a Barcelona player on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. Torre, a highly rated Spanish midfielder, joins Barcelona from Racing Santander.

The youngster is expected to follow the footsteps of Pedri who joined from Las Palmas two seasons ago.

Torre explained that he was delighted to make the move and expected to join the team on their pre-season trip to the United States of America (USA).

Torre was presented by President Joan Laporta at the Camp Nou with the new Barcelona home jersey.

Torre spoke to the Barcelona website about how a call from head coach Xavi Hernandez convinced him to join the club.

"I was surprised that someone like Xavi knew me so well. He called me and told me that he was counting on me for the new project."

"I'm a player who likes to have the ball and I don't like not having it. That's why we'll try to get it back quickly.

"In the long term I would like to succeed but in the short term I think about contributing my grain of sand."
