According to journalist Gerard Romero, Barcelona is on the verge of finalizing the transfer of Karim Adeyemi. The 24-year-old German international, currently with Borussia Dortmund, has reportedly already received approval from coach Hansi Flick. This potential move could pave the way for Raphinha's departure to Saudi Arabian football.
Adeyemi is entering the final year of his contract with the German club, putting Dortmund in a difficult position. The club must either sell him now to secure a transfer fee – with the player valued at €40 million by Transfermarkt – or risk losing him for free in a year when his contract expires.
Adeyemi joined Borussia Dortmund in 2021 from Salzburg for €30 million and has since become a pivotal player for the club. His omission from Julian Nagelsmann's World Cup squad came as a significant surprise. Known for his blistering pace, the forward has netted 22 goals and provided 15 assists over the past two seasons (80 appearances in total). He primarily operates on the right wing, while Barcelona has already secured a winger for the opposite flank – England's Anthony Gordon from Newcastle.
