The tourists - who won Tuesday's second ODI by 47 runs via the Duckworth-Lewis method having skittled Bangladesh for 58 - could only muster 119-9 from 34.2 overs.

Cheteshwar Pujara top scored with 27, while Stuart Binny was 25 not out from 36 deliveries, the all-rounder no doubt disappointed not to have more time to impress after taking 6-4 with the ball in the previous game.

Shakib Al Hasan (3-27 off 7.2 overs) impressed for the hosts, while Al-Amin Hossain and Taskin Ahmed each took two wickets.

Bangladesh made another superb start with the ball, reducing India to 16-4 inside 10 overs before the heavens opened.

When play resumed, Pujara shared in respective partnerships of 41 and 32 with Suresh Raina (25) and Wriddihiman Saha (16) to boost India's tally.

The number three was eventually trapped lbw by Shakib, having faced 63 balls in a patient innings.

Binny hit four boundaries during his knock, but more rain soon followed, forcing the players back to the pavilion.

On this occasion, play could not restart and India were left to celebrate a 2-0 series win.
