FIFA mistakenly announce winners

It seems FIFA have mistakenly announced the winner of the 2015 Ballon d'Or.

The winners of various categories of the Ballon d'Or are supposed to be announced at a ceremony which has been scheduled to hold  on January 11.

Lionel Messi and Celia Sasic's names were placed on the top of the list of winners on the FIFA website, alongside the year 2015.

FIFA on Wednesday, January 6 however momentarily placed Lionel Messi and Celia Sasic at the summit of their list of winners on their website, alongside the year 2015.

Their names were swiftly removed.

The names are however the favourite to win the awards, so no surprise.

Messi scored 48 goals as Barcelona won another historic treble in the 2014/2015 season.

They have since added the two more trophies to that haul.

He is favourite to beat his Barcelona teammateundefinedto the award on January 11.

Sasic, meanwhile, played in the women's World Cup with Germany in 2015 and was also top scorer for Frankfurt as they won the Champions League.
