Tutor in US Christian school faces 20-year jail term for child molestation

A teacher in a Christian school in Florida, Eric Beasley, has pleaded guilty to sexually molesting a 14-year-old student.

24-year-old Eric Beasley was arrested Tuesday, December 1, after cops spotted him parked up with a 14-year-old student in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Both were seen half-naked and admitted to performing oral sex on each other.

He was charged to court on a nine- charge bordering sexual battery by a custodian on a minor and two counts of sending obscene material to a minor.

Eric Beasley, who is the biology teacher of Zion Lutheran Christian School, pleaded guilty to persuading the 14-year-old student to have sex with him multiple times and sextexting with her. He told court on Monday, December 1 that he enticed his students to engage in the sexual acts.

Lawyers have said that the biology teacher expects to plead guilty in Broward Circuit Court to sexual battery charges and plans to sign a plea deal that will lock him up for 20 years according to a report by .

The girl's parents are also suing the school, Zion Lutheran church and affiliated organizations and officials.
