Former Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien has congratulated his fellow countryman Baba Abdul Rahman who just signed for the English Premier League champion.
Essien played for the Stamford Bridge club between 2005 and 2012 before making a move to AC Milan.
He took to his Twitter to post a congratulatory message to Baba Rahman writing: "Wishing my country man @babarahmangh the very best of luck @ChelseaFC all the best my friend ."
After competing a £21.7million move from , the 21-year-old was given a tour of Chelsea' training base on Tuesday, August 18.
Speaking about the move, the left-back expressed his his happiness at joining the club.
"I'm happy to be meeting you," he said while speaking to Chelsea's official vine account.
He also took to his Twitter account to speak about his move to Chelsea.
"New home and new challenge,can't wait to get it going ...thanks to everyone who made this possible," he wrote.
