Valentin Balakhnichev - president of the Russian Athletics Federation - has already confirmed his intention to step down from his role as IAAF treasurer temporarily after suggestions Russian officials were part of the cover-up.

These allegations have been strenuously denied.

However, Papa Massata Diack has also stated his intention to suspend IAAF activities after he was accused of requesting a $5million payment from Qatar - the hosts of the 2017 World Championships.

Diack denies receiving such a payment or making any such request but will cease working for the organisation until the report into the doping allegations is published.
