Following their 3-2 home loss of Olympiacos in the match day two of the UEFA Champions League, Arsenal ripped into his players and accused them of lacking passion and desire.
The Gunners are on the verge of a group stage exit after losing their second consecutive group game and an angry Wenger blasted his players in a training ground meeting.
According to a report, Wenger ‘criticised his players for their work-rate, intensity and attitude’.
“Wenger rarely raises his voice with the players, but they were left in no doubt during their usual debrief at their London Colney training centre that he expects them to raise their standards following the shocking nature of the defeat,” part of the report read.
David Ospina was responsible for one of the goals and had an overall shambolic performance in the game but Wenger refused to lay individual blames, rather criticising the while squad.
Arsenal face Manchester United next at the Emirate Stadium on Sunday, October 4 in a most win English Premier League game.
