I asked Peter how the planning went and how to plan a trip to Ghana.

“The nine of us had a WhatsApp group. It was easy to communicate with everyone. We booked things individually but always at the same time. The accommodation was an Airbnb. The Airbnb was in East Legon, we booked that online."

"Most of Nigeria’s air carriers have direct flights to Accra. You can go by road too. GIGM would be your best bet, they have a good presence in Accra. But we went by air.

"The Airbnb we stayed in was a three-bed flat we shared."

I asked what he did in Ghana “We were mostly at the beach, Laboma Beach Cosa Afronation, soaking up the sun and enjoying the ambience. We went to the mall many times for supplies for the apartment and personal shopping."

"We visited a restaurant called Potbelly Shack, the restaurant is so cool, we ate and had great conversations about life and everything."

"We went to Black Star square also known as the Independence arch, it is a vast park that has a black star on a gate-like pillar, that says freedom and justice. We took a lot of pictures there."

"The Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park was incredibly beautiful, it had marble floors and fountains spluttering water we had a field day taking pictures."

I asked what his general view of Ghana was he said, “Accra is way cleaner than Lagos.”

His favourite moment in Ghana was time spent at the apartment with friends. 

"It was just pure cruise, laughter, and joy. The joy I felt was so real and I would always cherish those memories, chilling in cooking, laying in bed, and staying up all night talking."
