This smartphone is giving you the option of Windows or Android OS

 
 
Archos will unveil a new phone at the IFA with an option of either Android or Windows 10 Mobile in an attempt to appeal to the largest market. This was made known in a press conference by the French company.

The phone will have "almost" identical hardware depending on the OS and have one of two model names - 50 Cesium with Windows 10 Mobile or 503 Helium with Android.

The hardware specs reveal a budget-friendly configuration:

  • Cameras
  • Battery

Archos believes this offering provides the most choice to the prospective buyer, according to CEO Loic Poirier:

"By providing a choice between two almost identical hardware models, we allow the customer to focus on what they like on the inside: the user interface. Android and Windows are both fantastic and provide varied software experiences."

The phones will be available on November 15 of this year for £99 and shown at the IFA in Berlin on September.
