The awards are flowing in for new Swansea City FC forward, Andre Ayew after his fantastic start to life in the English Premier League.
Just days after winning the Barclays Premier League, the Ghanaian forward has been named African Player of the Month of August in the English Premier League.
He has been an integral part Gary Monk's team who have started the season very strongly, scoring three goals so far including the strikes against Chelsea and Manchester United.
He beat off competition from the other shortlisted players - Yaya Toure of Manchester City and Algerian Riyad Mahrez of Leicester City.
"We could see why Ayew won the award and kudos to him and to the participants in the vote," Tunde Adelakun, CEO of award organisers said.
'He just came into the Premier league and hit the ground running - scoring spectacularly against champions Chelsea in his debut and playing well in the month”.
His award will be presented to him in the coming days.
