Floyd Mayweather Jnr Honoured By Nevada Boxing Hall Of Fame

An enviable unbeaten boxing career record of 46-0, with 26 knockouts, has earned the 37 year-old a call to the Nevada Boxing Hall Of Fame.

Mayweather will be honoured as the 'Nevada Fighter of The Year' on August 9 at the annual induction ceremony, making it the second year in a row he will be voted the best pugilist by the Nevada Boxing Hall Of Fame.

Victories over MexicanSaul 'Carnelo' Alvarez and Argentine boxerMarcos Maidana won him the award; a rematch against Maidana has been scheduled for September 13.

On the same night, Mayweather will also serve as presenter for the inductee Hall of Famer Cornelius Boza Edwards.

The night will also bring together victors and vanquished, however, not in contention for any title but for the celebration of an exalting career.

58 year-old Sugar Ray Robinson will walk up the stage with PanamanianRoberto Duran who defeated him in the first bout of three fights.

Mike Tyson will reunite with two time conqueror Evander Holyfield on the night where he is to present the former World Heavyweight champion with the Hall Of Fame award.
