"I have never collected bribe in my entire life"

Former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi has said that he has never collected a bribe in his entire life.

Amaechi made the claim today, October 22, 2015, while being questioned by the Senate.

The former governor was screened by the upper legislative chamber following his ministerial nomination by President Muhammadu Buhari.

“I have never collected bribe in my life,” Amaechi said when asked about the allegations of corruption levelled against him.

“Corruption is difficult to define. If they send a girl to you to do something for her and you sleep with the girl, you are corrupt,” he added.

Amaechi’s screening has been surrounded by controversy due to a petition raised against him and numerous postponements by the Senate.
