The official weigh-ins for PFL Charlotte have concluded, with all fighters successfully making weight ahead of Saturday's fight night, August 8th, at the Bojangles Coliseum. The event follows last week's news of the official merger between MVP and PFL.
Local favorite and eighth-ranked Brian Battle – “The Butcher” (12-3, 1 NC) tipped the scales at 84.2 kg, while Pittsburgh's Dalton Rosta – “Hercules” (11-3), ranked fourth, weighed in at 84.3 kg. This officially confirmed their main event middleweight bout.
Battle will be looking to return to winning ways and prove he remains a serious threat in the division. Rosta aims to impose his relentless pressure and secure a crucial victory against one of his toughest opponents in a stacked category where the stakes are incredibly high.
The PFL Charlotte fight card was bolstered with a new co-main event after second-ranked Dovlet Yagshimuradov (26-8-1) and sixth-ranked Simeon Powell (12-2) were unable to compete at PFL New York last week. Yagshimuradov weighed exactly 93 kg, while Powell came in at 92.8 kg.
Yagshimuradov will be looking to emphatically solidify his claim for a title shot, while Powell will be chasing a victory to snatch his opponent's second-place ranking.
