Desire Oparanozie was the woman of the match as he scored a first-half hattrick before adding her fourth.

Chinasa Uchendu rounded up the scoring to complete the rout in the second half.

Victory over the host nation handed the Falcons, reigning African champions, three points, with their next match to come against Tanzania’s senior women team on Wednesday.

The Falcons seized the initiative right from the start and were three goals up within the first 35 minutes, all by Oparanozie.

The Nigeria's Dream Team was not in action due to the withdrawal of Egypt from the men’s and women’s football events.
