This is coming after the midfielder rejected a move to Chelsea. It was reported on Monday, August 28, 2017, that the Premiere League Champions and Arsenal had agreed on a £35m fee for Chamberlain.

It's reported that he will sign a six-year contract with the Anfield giant with personal terms yet to be sorted out.

Arsene Wenger has consistently deployed the midfielder as a left wing-back in his now preferred 3-4-3 formation. Meanwhile, Chamberlain hasn't kept secret his desire to play in his most preferred central midfield position, a call Wenger has continued to ingore.

The midfielder, reportedly frustrated by this development, has been pushing for a move away from the club since the opening of this summer's transfer window.
