Iwobi suffered the injury in Arsenal’s opening day defeat at home to Liverpool which made him miss Nigeria’s dead rubber 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Tanzania.
The 20-year-old has resumed training ahead of Arsenal’s home Premier League game against Southampton on Saturday, September 10.
"Iwobi is back in the squad. The only one who is not ready is Aaron Ramsey,” Arsene Wenger told the press.
This will be exciting news for Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr who has revealed that he needs the forward for Nigeria’s 2018 FIFA World Qualifier against Zambia.
Rohr is impressed with Iwobi’s form for Arsenal and wants the forward for the Zambia clash.
“We need to look at the player in Arsenal (Iwobi) and the player who scored four goals in a match at the Olympics (Etebo),” Rohr is quoted to say by FC Naija.
Nigeria are in group B of the 2018 World Cup qualifying series with Algeria, Cameroon and Zambia.
