Top monarch squares up to ABU welterweight champion in the ring
Top Yoruba Monarch, The Alaafin of Oyo Empire,Oba Dr Lamide Olayiwola Adeyimi II had a mini boxing match with current African Boxing Union's Welterweight Champion Larry Ekundayo.
Nigerian boxer Larry Ekundayo presented his belt from his recent victory to the monarch on Thursday, December 3 in London.
Nigerian highest Welterweighter Larry 'The Natural' Ekundayo last month won a 12-round-match against Ghanaian boxerJoseph 'The Double Horror' Lamptey to become the new African Boxing Union's Welterweight Champion.
The boxer today presented the belt from his victory to the Alaafin of Oyo Empire who visited the boxer at Larry Ekundayo’s training session at Lime house Marina Gym, London.

The Alaafin of Oyo Empire who is one of Africa’s most powerful and most influential kings, is also a trained and fought as a boxer before his ascension on to the throne of his forefathers.
The Alaafin of Oyo Empire who was in company of his wives, entered the ring for for a sparring session with ABU champion Larry Ekundayo.
In attendance were Commercial Manager Mr Ben Gray and mentor, boxing great and former commonwealth and British title holder and world title challenger Olusegun 'the gun' Ajose.
