The Jeddah-based team is actively seeking a new high-profile player to bolster their squad following the departure of Riyad Mahrez.

Reports indicate that the Saudi giants have already made an official inquiry to explore the feasibility of a deal for the Egyptian football icon. Al-Ahli has requested details regarding the financial and sporting terms required to sign the forward, who left Liverpool as a free agent after the conclusion of last season.

Meanwhile, Algerian international Riyad Mahrez has agreed to an early termination of his contract with the club. This move reportedly cost Al-Ahli approximately 14.5 million euros.

In addition to Salah, the Saudi team's management is also monitoring the situation surrounding Karim Adeyemi of Borussia Dortmund as another potential option to strengthen their attack.
