Ajax manager warns Calvin Bassey about passing with the wrong foot
Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey has been told what he needs to do better as he continues his footballing education at Ajax under Dutch manager Alfred Schreuder.
The Nigerian international is settling in at Dutch champions Ajax as he continues to learn about the club's ball-playing philosophy at the famous Johan Cruyff Arena.
Bassey has played in two Eredivisie matches for Ajax, picking up two victories while featuring at centre-back alongside Jurrien Timber against Sparta Rotterdam and FC Utrecht.

The Ajax manager chided Bassey after Sunday's 2-0 victory over Utrecht, noting that the former Rangers defender was passing the ball with his wrong foot.
In his post-match comments as reported by voetbalprimeur, Schreuder said: "I thought he [Bassey] played the ball to the wrong suit [sic]. If you play with Daley Blind next to you, you have to move the game calmly from left to right and end up with Daley.
"Then Daley can play the ball between the lines. If the chance to play the ball between the lines is not there, then you have to keep the ball."
Bassey has bounced back impressively after getting a red card on his debut for Ajax in the Johan Cruyff Shield match against PSV Eindhoven. Since then, Bassey has kept two clean sheets in both league matches he has played in.
The Nigerian international is billed to be in action again on Saturday, September 3 when Ajax welcome SC Cambuur to the Johan Cruyff Arena for their Matchday 5 Eredivisie fixture.
