Ahmed Musa notches 30th appearance as Fatih Karagumruk see off Giresunspor
Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa made his 30th club appearance of the season for Turkish side Fatih Karagumruk as they took on Giresunspor on Saturday afternoon.
On Matchday 34 of the Turkish Super Lig, Musa was an 87th-minute substitute for Karagumruk as his side secured a 2-1 home victory at the Vefa Stadium.
Musa continues to play a reduced role for the Atilay Canel-led Fatih Karagumruk side, having played only 1512 minutes of football in the league for Karagumruk (an average of 56 minutes per match).
Aleksandar Pesic keeps Ahmed Musa on the bench again
Musa was named on the substitutes bench for the 10th time in the league this season, with Serbian forward Aleksandar Pesic trusted again to lead the line for Karagumruk.
After Chiquinho handed a shock lead to visitors Giresunspor from the penalty spot in the 48th minute, Pesic quickly drew Karagumruk level in the 52nd minute also from the penalty spot.

The Serbian striker was also involved in the second goal for Karagumruk, feeding Jimmy Durmaz with an assist in the 65th minute to put his side ahead for the first time in the match.
Ahmed Musa gets 10 minutes against Giresunspor
Musa was brought out to replace Pesic in the 87th minute as the Karagumruk coach chose to take off his prized asset in Pesic before the end of the match.
In just about 10 minutes (plus added time) of play, Musa had 10 touches of the ball and distributed five (5) accurate passes.
However, the 29-year-old lost possession on five (5) occasions, and the former Leicester City forward was unsuccessful with his only dribble attempt and ground duel.
Fatih Karagumruk are currently eighth (8th) on the Turkish Super Lig table with 50 points from 34 matches.
They are four (4) points off Basaksehir who occupy the fourth position, the final Europa Conference League playoffs spot in the Turkish league table.
