The 2014 edition of Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) had it's opening night on November 9, 2014 at the prestigious Tinapa Business and Leisure Resort, Calabar, Cross River State.

The opening night had Rita Dominic, Moses Inwang, Chioma Ude, Lilian Esoro, Osas Ighodaro, Mbong Amata, Femi Jacobs, Linda Ejiofor, KC Ejelonu, Lala Akindoju amongst others in attendance.
