One of the chieftains of the All Progressive Congress, APC, youth wing in Lagos, Aregbe Idris, has sued for peace ahead of the 2019 general elections.
Aregbe, the youth organising secretary of the Lagos APC said this on Saturday, September 1, 2018 days after the National Executive Council meeting of the ruling party in Abuja.
In a statement by the young politician, he said, "As we look forward to a peaceful, free and fair elections, our desire is to ensure that we exercise our franchise by voting in capable and intellectually proven representatives that would propel the socio-economic wheel of our great state and dear nation to promising heights."
Continuing, Aregbe said, "We urge all and sundry to keep the belief of an effective electoral system alive by coming out en-masse to exercise their franchise in order to hold in high-hopes the dreams of a better Nigeria. Together we can move Lagos state and Nigeria forward by capitalizing on the power," he said.
Aregbe hails Lagosians for PVC collection
Aregbe, who is also the convener of 'Our Lagos, Your Lagos initiative,' has commended the sustained efforts of residents in Lagos state in the collection of their Permanent Voter’s Card, PVC, ahead of the 2019 General Elections.
In the same vein, the politician also commended Nigerians for the collection of their PVC ahead of the 2019 polls.
