The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria will be knowing their opponents on Thursday, August 6 as they aim to defend their title a the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Draw ceremony for the World Cup will be holding in Santiago, capital of host nation Chile.
Countries who will be in the draw are Mexico, Honduras, Costa Rica and USA for North America, five from Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador, Paraguay and host Chile for South America, New Zealand from Oceania and the Africa representatives Mali, Guinea, South Africa and Nigeria.
The youth tournament will be held between October 17 and November 8 across eight Chilean cities.
Official Draw for the World Cup will be held at the Art Centre at about 12:00 midnight in Nigeria where the 24 qualified countries would be drawn into six groups of four teams each.
Ahead of the draw, head coach of the Golden Eaglets’ Emmanuel Amuneke says his team is ready to face any team as they look to defend the trophy.
“We are waiting to see who and who we are going to meet after the draw on Thursday,” Amuneke told NFF.com.
“Though we don’t have the luxury of choosing the teams we want, we are preparing well for the tournament and we would be ready to give a good account of ourselves.”
Nigeria led by Kelechi Iheanacho won the last edition in 2013 and was held in the United Arab Emirates.
