#ICarePulseCares For The Victims Of The Abuja Bomb Blast

Dozens of hopeful Nigerians were killed and hundreds more injured by Monday's bomb blast at a crowded motor park in Nyanya, at the outskirts of Nigeria's capital city Abuja.

Over 24 hours later, Nigerians are still unsettled by the deadly blast; even as many are still hospital-trotting in search of their loved ones.

It is a trying time for us as a nation and we at Pulse.ng express our heartfelt condolence to the families of the victims and pray that the deceased rest in peace.

But this is not a time to trade blames or panic. Rather, it is a time to show that we are humans, spread love and contribute our quota to comforting the bereaved and dropping our widow’s mite in the offering box of Peace.

Snapping, sharing and viewing pictures of the victims will not bring them back nor console those they left behind but you and I can reach out with loving hands – you can do something positive!

In Abuja, the National Blood Transfusion Service (NBTS) is still crying out for blood donors with several victims in dire need of screened blood.

NBTS Communications Advisor, Abdullahi O. Haruna, made a passionate appeal to the public.

"At this point of national grief, following the unfortunate bomb blast that killed scores and injured many at Nyanya, the National Blood Transfusion Service is calling on Nigerians and foreigners alike to respond by coming forth to donate blood at the nearest blood centre."

"Blood donation is essential to the survival of the victims as efforts are made to save the lives of the victims," Abdullahi told Pulse.ng.

Go, donate blood, save a life and pass on the message.

If you know any of the victims or their families, gifting financially or otherwise, or paying them a short tribute on your social media account won’t hurt.
