Mikel Obi was on target for Tianjn TEDA as they lost at 4-2 at home to Shanghai Shenhua.

The away side took the lead through Giovanni Andres Moreno in the 14th minute when he converted a ball through to him by Yunding Cao.

Mike equalised for his side when he tapped in a rebound from the near post in the 22nd minute.

Tianjin TEDA went ahead in the encounter through Ghanaian striker Frank Acheampong in the 30th minute.

He then missed a penalty in the 39th minute and Jianrong Zhu equalised for Shanghai Shenhua in the 44th minute as both sides went into the halftime break level.

The second half was closely contested but Shanghai Shenhua scored in the 86th minute when Zhu converted a ball through to him by Demba Ba.

Fredy Guarin scored the last goal of the game to give Shanghai Shenhua all three points without star forward Obafemi Martins.

Mikel is expected to return to action when Tianjin TEDA travel to face Chongqing Lifan on Saturday, November 3.
