Google CEO, Sundar Pichai is in Lagos

Google's annual I/O conference held yesterday and at the event, Google introduced its own voice-based digital assistant and it is called 'Google Assistant'.

The assistant is meant to be the tech giants answer toApple's Siri and Amazon's Alexa. The assistant is meant to be an ambient experience that will work across all platforms and devices.

The assistant is also conversational - it can have two-way dialogues with you and understand your world as it helps you get stuff done.

You can do stuff like tell it to get movie tickets for you, find a perfect restaurant for a dinner date before the movie starts, and navigate you to  to the theater.

"Our ability to do conversational understanding is far ahead of what other assistants can do," said Sundar Pichai, Google CEO.

It will be interesting to see how the voice assistant wars between Apple's Siri, Amazon's Alexa, and now Google's Assistant will play out. Stay with Pulse Tech to keep you updated.
