Governor Rochas Okorocha

The Supreme Court has upheld the victory of Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha in the April 11, 2015 elections.

The apex court also dismissed the petition brought against Okorocha by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Emeka Ihedioha saying it lacked merit.

Ihedioha’s case had initially been dismissed by the Imo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal which held that the petition was incompetent and in contravention of the Electoral Act.

Okorocha won a second term in office after contesting on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
