List of all 73 candidates contesting in February 16 presidential election

73 candidates will be on the ballot in the race to become Nigeria's president in the February 16 presidential election, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

President Muhammadu Buhari is the oldest candidate in the race as he seeks another four years in office

Nwankwo Agwuncha of People's Trust (PT) is the oldest running mate at 76 while Johnson Omede of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) is the youngest at 30.

There are six female candidates contesting in the election, the highest ever in Nigeria's history.

Even though INEC released a list of 73 parties contesting in the election, it failed to list any candidate for the Social Democratic Party (SDP) because two candidates are currently in court battling over the ticket. One is expected to make the list before the polls next month.
