Akeredolu takes the lead

APC candidate, Rotimi Akeredolu has taken the lead as the votes recorded at the Ondo governorship election is being counted.

In a report by Daily Trust, Akeredolu is currently leading Peoples Democratic Party's Eyitayo Jegede with 16,126 votes in the seven local government areas announced so far by the INEC.

According to the results, Akeredolu has a total of 74,801 while Jegede has 58,675 in 7 out of the 18 LGAs in Ondo state.

The seven announced LGAs which has given the lead to Akeredolu include Ondo East, Ondo West, Irele, Ifedore, Ose, Ile Oluji/Okeigbo, and Akoko North East.
