Abdulmumin Jibrin had said that Speaker Dogara and 12 other lawmakers illegally inflated figures in the 2016 appropriation bill.

Jibrin's recently petitioned anti-corruption agencies in Nigeria. He called for the arrest and imprisonment of the speaker, and his "gang of thieves".

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC) requested Jibrin to avoid comments on the budget padding allegation.
