15 confirmed dead, 53 injured in blast

53 people are also said to have been injured in the blast which was caused by a suicide bomber disguised as a commuter.

15 people have been confirmed dead in an explosion which occurred on Tuesday, February 24,at the Tashan Dan Borno motor park in Potiskum, Yobe State.

Witnesses say the bomber dropped from a tricycle opposite the park and entered the location where the explosion eventually occurred.

“He boarded a waiting Toyota bus with registration number Kano XA952DBT like other passengers and few minutes later, a loud sound of explosion from the man,” Ali Zakari, a commercial driver, told Daily Sun.

A source at the Potiskum General Hospital stated that 15 dead bodies were deposited at the hospital’s morgue after the attack.
