A protest, was today, November 10, 2015, held in honour of slain Ogoni activist, Ken Saro-Wiwa in London.

The demonstration was organized by the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) and Action Saro-Wiwa outside the Headquarters of multinational oil company, Shell to commemorate the 20-year anniversary of Saro-Wiwa’s death.

The demonstration was organized by the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) and Action Saro-Wiwa outside the Headquarters of multinational oil company, Shell to commemorate the 20-year anniversary of Saro-Wiwa’s death.
The activist was executed during the Sani Abacha regime for condemning the activities of Shell which led to the destruction of the environment in Ogoni Land.
Saro-Wiwa had also criticized Abacha’s government for failing to address the destruction caused by Shell.
