Assembly to hold hearing on health insurance scheme bill

The bill seeks to enact a law for the establishment of a health insurance scheme for all residents of the state.

This was contained in a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti by the Chairman, House Committee on Health, Human Services and  HIV/AIDS, Mrs Cecilia Dada.

According to the statement, the bill seeks to enact a law for the establishment of a health insurance scheme for all residents of the state.

She said the bill was aimed at making health facilities accessible to all residents, especially women and children.

Those expected at the programme include representatives of the Nigerian Labour Congress and its affiliate bodies as well as Ministry of Health and its allied agencies.

Others include the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees and Nigerian Union of Teachers, traditional rulers, civil society organisations and other stakeholders.
