Kaduna Gov declares sect illegal
Ibrahim Zakzaky led Shi'ite movement has been declared an unlawful society by the Kaduna State Government.

In a statement signed by spokesman of the government, Samuel Aruwan, the movement was on Friday, October 7, 2016 disclosed as an unlawful society disrupting the peace of the state.
The statement further said the decision to outlaw the sect was arrived at during an executive council meeting which held on Thursday, October 6, 2016.

Zakzaky was arrested after the Shi'te movement, which he leads, allegedly obstructed the movement of the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai in Kaduna State.
