6 die as terrorists hit Adamawa

A total of six people have died after Boko Haram unleashed mayhem in Madagali Local Government, Adamawa state.

Leadership Newspapers reports that eight villagers escaped with serious injuries.

Musa Tela, an eye witness, while narrating the incident, said the terrorists burnt houses belonging to some prominent members of the village.

Leadership also reports that House of Representatives member, Hon Adamu Kamale said “We are in mourning now, they slaughtered six people ,eight others seriously injured.

“The fact that our area share borders with Sambisa forest and Cameroon republic should have been enough reason why government must deploy security personnel to protect us. If the government does not take proactive measures to stem the ugly insurrection, they will kill all of us.

“The number of soldiers deployed is grossly inadequate, we need more security personnel as our villages share borders with Sambisa forest.”

Boko Haram is an Islamic extremist group based in North-Eastern region of Nigeria.
