My girlfriend cheats & does not want to stop yet

Whenever I ask her to stop, she only says she knows what she's doing. She does not want to stop.

Dear Bukky,

I am 22 years old and  have a cheating girlfriend who is 20 years old.

Whenever we happen to discuss it [the cheatiing], all she would say is "I KNOW WHAT I AM DOING."

I know we still have a long time ahead of us before we marry, seems like it’ll be 2025.

But I love her and I know she does as well. So I think she’s cheating because we still have a long time ahead of us [and will change when we settle down].

What do you think? ___________

Dear reader,

I think is dependent on how what your relationship with her is.

Are you guys even in a committed relationship or it’s just one of those ones where you are still allowed to see other people? Or is it a friends with benefits situation

If you are not in a committed relationship, well there might be no problem as she’d be within the confines of the rules of such relationship. You cannot be angry with her as this is what you have signed up for.

On the other hand, if this is meant to be a committed relationship, then what she’s doing is blatantly wrong and there can be no justifiable excuse.

That you have a long time to go before settling down is no justification for that. If she can’t deal, she should move on and leave the relationship.

If you are committed to the relationship, she has no option but to be, too._____________Do you want to talk about your love life, marriage or family issues?
