My girlfriend wants to dump me for something I didn't do

Dear Bukky,

I’ve been in a relationship with my girlfriend for over seven years. I lived in Ohio for over 15 years so I have a lot of acquaintances there. To make the long story short, I had a female friend that I went to high school with and she reached out to on social media three years ago.

My girlfriend got a hold of the conversation and told me she only likes pictures of me and not pictures of me and her. So she told me to delete her off my contact list but I didn’t.

When she told me, I and the babe spoke a few times just about general things about the past three years. So recently in March I liked a picture of hers and it was an emoji with heart eyes. I admitted to my girlfriend I was wrong for doing that and I also explained to her that it didn’t come from a place of love or anything of the sort.

That didn't stop my girlfriend from getting very angry at me. I deleted my friend from my friends list to appease my babe but she still went on to breakup with me in April and distanced herself from me. She doesn’t want me to come by, communication is near dead.

We have two kids together which makes things difficult but I ask her if she loves she says yes but she doesn’t really want to be around me or talk to me like that. Every time I bring up the subject of getting back together or being in a relationship, she doesn’t want to talk about it. She claims to be busy and she has also become very distant.

We went to lunch one time and I tried to show affection and withdrew from me. She accused me of cheating for 3 years and I haven’t seen this person in over 15 years and she stays in Ohio and I stay in California.

I don’t know what to do. I’m frustrated and at my wits end with her behavior. It’s almost six months and nothing has really changed. She speaks to me a little more but the affection and interaction is still absent.

What should I do? I love her and she says she loves me but she doesn’t show it and we rarely see it except sometimes when I pick my kids up on the weekend.________________

Showing from her actions, she is most likely not interested in a relationship with you anymore. And if that happens, there's barely anything you can do more.

Given that you have tried your best (especially as you haven't cheated), I think you guys should just have a discussion. Decide how you're going to co-parent and move on.
