Lagos Photo Festival kicks off

The event which is a platform for artists to express themselves through the lens is the first and only international arts festival of photography in Nigeria.

The 6th edition of the Lagos Photo Festival with the theme, Designing Futures, has kicked off in earnest in Lagos.

Opening on October 24th, 2015 at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, the festival is expected to run till November 17th and will feature 35 photographers from 18 countries in a series of events including exhibitions, workshops, artist presentations and discussions.

There will be satellite exhibition venues in arts and cultural spaces throughout the Lagos at locations including Omenka Gallery, Africans Artists’ Foundation, Stranger Lagos and Goethe- Institut.

Other venues include Nimbus Gallery, Alara Concept Store, A White Space Gallery, Yaba Tech and Quintessence.

There will also be outdoor exhibitions in public spaces in Lagos including Muri Okunola Park, Falomo Roundabout, Ikoyi, Awojobi Park, Onike and Freedom Park.
