Duchess of Sussex' wedding gown to be displayed at Windsor castle

Fans will get the chance to see the gorgeous gown created by British designer Clare Waight Keller, artistic director of Givenchy, up close in a special exhibition in October.

The wedding dress display at Windsor will start on October 26, 2018 to January 6, 2019 afterwards it'll be taken to the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh from 14 June to 6 October 2019.

A Royal Wedding exhibition

Fans will get the chance to see the gorgeous gown created by British designer Clare Waight Keller, artistic director of Givenchy up close in a special exhibition themed A Royal Wedding: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. One of the main features of the six meticulously placed seams lined gown is the boat neckline bodice, a Meghan trademark.

Also on display is the five-metre-long veil, made from silk tulle and embroidered with the flora of the 53 countries of the Commonwealth, headed by the Queen. Two of Meghan's favourite flowers, Wintersweet and California poppy which grows in Kensington Palace and her place of birth respectively were included in the design.

Meghan Markle's Tiara

The elegant tiara which was lent to the Duchess by the queen is also part of the display. The tiara has a band of eleven sections paved with diamonds geometrically with 10 detachable brooch of diamonds at the middle.

On the other hand, The original Prince Harry's bridegroom outfit made by Dege & Skinner in London will not be displayed except for an identical replica. The frockcoat uniform of the Household Cavalry, the 'Blues and Royals' was commissioned specially for the royal wedding.
